Had such fun time to take a picture of lightning at UIC. Over the past few weeks we had often thunderstorm with lots of lightning during days and nights.
It is so fascinating pheonomena during summer time. I tried several times to capture it however, it did not work. Primarily it was because I didn’t have proper gears with me at school.
Finally, brought an intervalometer and tripod. Then, patiently waited till the next thunderstorm came in. Here it came. Taking a lightning picture was relative simple. Set the intervalometer to release the shutter periodically (every 10 secs) with appropriate exposure (iso 100, f/13, 8 secs) and wish good luck to have many lightning occur during its exposure.
Here are some results.
